Who we are
Athena OBD is made and sold by AutoLingo LLC. By ordering from this site or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Orders, shipping and returns
Prices are in US dollars, before sales tax where it applies. We ship within the US only, by USPS; shipping is charged at checkout at USPS's price for your address and the service you choose. If the adapter doesn't work with your car, return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (how returns work).
The app and the unlock
The app is free. The unlock is a one-time purchase made through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms; refunds for it are handled by them. It isn't a subscription.
A guide, not a guarantee
Athena OBD reports what your car reports and explains it as well as we can. Its guide to how urgent a code is comes from the code's type, not from inspecting your car. It isn't a mechanic's diagnosis, and its emissions test check doesn't guarantee you'll pass an inspection: stations check things the app can't, and rules change. Don't use the app while driving: set up live data before you go, and let a passenger watch it.
Clearing codes
Clearing codes turns the check engine light off and resets the car's self-tests. Only clear them after a repair; the light comes back if the fault is still there.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, AutoLingo's liability for any claim about Athena OBD is limited to what you paid for it.
